This book is written for the US market, so all the stitches in it are described in American terms and I have had to translate them to English stitches. Also the needle sizes and wool descriptions are US.
There are no diagrams to assist you, as there are with many modern crochet patterns.
I found an error in the first pattern I tried
Generally it has an old fashioned feel.
However I like the concept of patterns based on real snowflakes.
The book needs updating though. The pictures are quite old.
