One hundred different treatments of the human figure, gathered together from a New York drawing competition in 1927.
In almost all instances the drawing is of the full figure with a mixture of side, back and front views, reclining postures, in action poses, on drapery and many other different positions. Media include pencil, pen and ink, pen and wash and charcoal.
Great skill and inspiration is on show throughout as expected from a collection compiled by the renown life drawing master George Bridgman, author of many other titles available here.
Illustrations: 100 drawings of the human figure.
