German Expressionist Woodcuts

Over 100 works by the pre-eminent German artists of the early Twentieth century. This collection covers the early years of the Twentieth century, but primarily the period from the end of World War 1 to the mid to late 1920s, spanning the troubled post war years through to the Weimar period. Artists include: Max Beckmann, Erich Heckel, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Kathe Kollwitz, Franz Marc and over twenty more contemporary artists. The works are powerful, dramatic and filled with direct and forceful expression.
